Privacy statement

Who we are

NOWEWO is a digital notice board for vacancies and profiles in the Netherlands. Responsible for your data: Procrast Group. For questions about privacy: info@nowewo.com, or via the contact page.

Which data we process

• Login: your email address and the language for emails. We do not use passwords.
• Profile of a job seeker: name on the profile, place of residence, languages and levels, a short text, availability, your WhatsApp number (never shown, stored encrypted) and, if you add them, photos of your work and a link to LinkedIn.
• Employer: company name, the phone number on the vacancy (public), and for invitations a confirmed WhatsApp number (stored encrypted, never shown).
• Invitations: who invited whom, when, and whether the job seeker opened the invitation. Never the content of chats.
• Reports of vacancies or profiles, and messages to us.

Why we process data

To show your profile or vacancy, to make direct contact possible, to send account emails and to prevent misuse. We do this to carry out our agreement with you, and for misuse also because of our legitimate interest in a safe platform. We ask only for what is needed for this.

Who sees what

Vacancies and profiles are public while they are online, including photos and videos. The phone number of a job seeker is never shown; the phone number on a vacancy is public. An employer can send an invitation through us; you receive it on WhatsApp and decide whether to reply. We do not read or keep your chats.

Account emails

We send emails with a link to publish, change or renew your card, and one reminder a few days before your card goes offline, in the language you chose. Invitations from employers come as a WhatsApp message. If you have not used the link 24 hours after filling in the form, you get one reminder. After that we send no more reminders.

Newsletter

We only send you the newsletter with new jobs or job seekers and tips if you tick the box for it yourself. For this we keep your email address, your language and whether you are a job seeker or an employer, with our email service. You can always unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of every newsletter; after that you will not get it anymore. We do this based on your consent.

External services

We use external services for the database and accounts, for sending email and WhatsApp messages, and for hosting the website. They only process data on our instructions. WhatsApp messages go through Meta, also outside the EU; we only use services that have agreements to protect your data. We do not sell personal data. For the map on the page with vacancies, your browser loads map images from a map service. That service sees your IP address, as any website does, but gets no other data from us. If you tap Translate, your browser sends that text to a translation service. If you send our team a message via WhatsApp, we see your phone number, and Meta processes it as the provider of WhatsApp.

How long we keep data

A vacancy or profile stays online for 60 days. If you do not renew it, it goes offline and we delete it, with its photos, after 7 days. You can remove it yourself at any time. Invitations are deleted after 30 days. Your WhatsApp number is deleted when you no longer have a card. An account without a card is deleted after 12 months. Chats and other messages to our team are deleted 12 months after the last message. If a message is about a report, we delete it 12 months after the report has been handled.

Your rights

You may view, correct, export or delete your data, and object to the processing. Send your request via the contact page; we answer within one month. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
